DJ Khaled was born by Arabic parents in New Orleans, he was the second of three children. His love for music showed at age 14 and this led him to follow the straight path to radio success. Not satisfied with his Mixx 96 victory, Khaled made steps to take over 99 Jamz and hence teamed up with K-Foxx. These days his show enjoys No1 position in all of South Florida. Being a DJ listening to music all day, the young talant soon developed his own style and started preparing for his first album devoted entirely to hip-hop. DJ Khaled believes that this genre of music is here to stay forever because of its universal application, "everything and everywhere", he once remarked.
